England Leaks Scottish Reply to Naval Investigation
London, England (AP)
Officials in London released reports of the Scottish reply to an English statement made in defense of the English investigations of Scottish naval constructions today. The Scottish reply seemed to reaffirm the idea that Scotland sought nothing more than a peaceful coexistance with their southerly neighbors, maintaining that the construction of a Scottish national Navy is essential to the defense of Scottish claims to North Sea oil fields, and that the conscription efforts in Scotland to put 18 year old males and females into mandatory service for a year are merely intended to decrease unemployment rates and are simply "job ploys."
It is easy to believe now that Scotland will be a force for peace in European relations in the future, if the events of the past few days are any indication. After all, every sovereign nation has the right to their own navy, especially to protect their own national claims.
Scotland Mobilizes Troops: Repeated Attempts to Remove Royal Navy Presense from National Waters Fail
Brussels, Belgium (AP)
Scotland today made orders for troop mobilization, citing the English violation of Scottish national waters. Scotland has stated that, upon English withdrawal from Scottish territorial waters, the mobilization order will be cancelled. As for the English reply, the First Royal Army Corps has been dispatched to the English boarder with Scotland, and all Royal Navy and RAF forces have been placed upon full alert. Neither side seems ready to make the first decisive move in what could prove to be a very costly war for all of Europe.
England had previously issued several statements assuring the Scots that the English presense was benign, and would serve only for defensive purposes, as well as surveillance. The Scots, rightly according to international law, believe that their boarders have been violated and that they have a right to demand an English withdrawal. English violations of international law have brought an outcry from America for an end to the apparent English stuborness in the matter of seperation. America has called for a standing-down of both militaries, and has provided a date and time for negotiations for a permanent peace treaty and boarder fixation for Scotland to take place in Geneva, Switzerland.
Scotland has also brought charges against England for alleged violations of the Treaty of Unification of 1707. "Most definately I want everything that is rightfully Scot and not what the English have stolen under this unfair and unjust seperation agreement," stated President Scot of Scotland. Scotland demands that, because the United Kingdom was an "equal partnership" between the two nations, Scotland should recieve large portions of the English Royal Navy and Royal Air Force. The matter is set to be discussed in the international courts during the peace talks.
Ukraine Opens Talks With China For Military Technology Swap
Sevastopol, Ukraine (AP)
In a very surprise move today, the Ukranian government has established a direct line of communication with the communist leaders in China. The Ukranians make no move to conceal their efforts: the Ukraine seeks to purchase military technology from China. Russia, as well as the United States, are outraged by this move. Traditionally enemies, Russia and the Ukraine had been making some progress on relations. Now, some experts say, that thanks to the Sinophobia rampant in Russia, that the Russian-Ukranian relations will be set back many years.
In a related move, the Romanian government announced today its intentions of military alliance with Ukraine. An interesting move, considering that Romania was to be one of the key players in Balkan Union talks later this year.
Oil Refinery Blast in Russia Suspect of Espionage
Ust Urov, Russia (CNN)
We are here approximately one hundred miles off the boarder between Russia and China, where a disastrous explosion has ripped this city nearly in half. The massive explosion, one of the largest ever seen, began at the oil refinery in the center of the industrial distrect, and destroyed everything within a several-block radius! The recent development has served to further seperate the Soviets from their allies in China, as well as those who Russia now considers to be allies of China (Pakistan and Ukraine).
The Russians have vowed to use every resource at their disposal to find the perpetrator(s) of this henious act, and have recieved assurances from the United States that the US will aid in whatever way it can, stating that "Technoterrorism has no place in the modern world, neither in Communist states nore free states."

Scotland, England Endorse Balkan Union
Athens, Greece
Both Scotland and England have sent assurances of their support of the Balkan Union to the Greek government today, who has recently begun serious talks with Bulgaria, Macedonia, and Serbia to form an economic and military alliance for mutual defense. Where England seemed high-handed in her endorsement, giving the Alliance their "blessing," Scotland offered to supply the Alliance with monetary aid should other nations also follow suit. These recent developements are a good sign that the talks in the Balkans may finally succeed in bringing some amount of peace to the area.
Germany Plans Construction of Battlecruisers
Kiel, Germany
The German government has issued contracts for the developement of two new battlecruisers to beef up the floundering German navy. Though the actual specifics of the development process have not been made available to EuroTimes, Germany insists that the construction is simply to counteract the revived Soviet presense in the Baltic Sea.
Ukraine Issues Statement Concerning Events in English Isles
Kiev, Ukraine
"I think no country should be able to violate another country border for purely fact finding. I think Scotland was just trying to say that he was not going to allow the much bigger country to push him around. I think it was a bit of a over reaction to declare war. If there should be any sanctions they should be against England who is the one who started this after all.
